On Thursday 24 August they take on three-time Greek champions Aris Saloniki.
Meeting with Matthäus
Coach Dušan Bajevic will be leading Aris into the UEFA Cup next season thanks to their appearance in the Greek cup final. One familiar face among their ranks is former Borussia Dortmund goalgetter Marcio Amoroso.
Two days later, Bremen have a date with another old acquaintance – Lothar Matthäus. Germany’s record-holder for international appearances took over last month at Israeli league runners-up Maccabi Netanya, and has an early opportunity to test his charges against top Bundesliga opposition.
Both games will take place at the Wagenweg Sportplatz in Schruns, with kick-off scheduled for 18:30.
