Local radio station ‘Punto Radio’ had announced that the Croatian would be playing in the Primera División next season, but the 28 has moved quickly to dispel the rumours.
“There has been a lot said, but there is nothing in these latest reports” he said.
Klasnic will leave Werder in the summer, but his final destination still remains open. According to Kicker, both Hamburg and Hannover are interested in him, with Glasgow Rangers, Besiktas and Olympiacos monitoring the situation.
Klasnic is leaving the Weser Stadion after seven seasons having fallen out with the club’s medical staff after they allegedly mis-diagnosed his kidney problems.
He has 49 goals in 150 appearances for Werder and another 26 during a spell at St.Pauli.
