Under the motto ‘Kick Out Racism and Violence’, a group of Werder supporters, together with the Fan-Project Bremen, will be in Marseille between April 3rd and 10th. The fan-exchange, organised by the ‘Youth of Europe’ group, will be hosted by the ‘Eurocircle’ club in Marseille.
The supporters of Werder Bremen will not be alone in France, with followers of SSC Naples, Galatasaray Istanbul and FC Valencia being joined by the hosts from the fan group ‘South Winners’ from Olympique Marseille. The lord mayor of the city of Marseille will be on hand to welcome the Werder fateful and lend his full support to the fan exchange project.
“We would like to express our deepest thanks to Werder Bremen for their support of this fan exchange”, remarked Thomas Hafke from Fan-Project Bremen.

Arsenal have made an enquiry for Werder Bremen star Diego, according to the player’s father and agent.
The Brazilian has been one of the Bundesliga’s star performers in recent seasons and has attracted the interest of a host of clubs.
The likes of Juventus, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked with the classy playmaker and now Arsenal have been added to his list of admirers.
Diego is under contract at Bremen until 2011 and he recently admitted his future was in the hands of the German club.
The 23-year-old’s representative and father Djair da Cunha claims Arsenal, Juventus and Real Madrid have made approaches for his services.
“There are a lot of rumours and all of them are not the truth,” Djair da Cunha told Bild.
“But Real, Arsenal and Juve want my son.
“By the way, Juve sporting director Alessio Secco already came to Bremen to speak with Klaus Allofs.”

It was quite a shock! The home defeat to lowly MSV Duisburg was a defeat that even general manager Klaus Allofs found difficult to digest: “We are certainly not completely stumped, but quite astounded, that we are so out of form at the moment. It was not a compact team performance, nor did we witness the sort of joy and mobility in playing the game that we expect. We made mistakes in every aspect of our game. It was quite surprising.”
Now there is an eminently important away game on the schedule at Herha BSC Berlin looming and Allofs has laid down the gauntlet to his players: “We need to work and endeavour for a win.” On the subject of the rumoured return of former Werder striker Claudio Pizzaro to Bremen Allofs made it clear: “There is now background to this and it is not a subject for us.”
